Race practice and ASFA certification runs

WWWA has scheduled two more practices for Sunday May 10 and Saturday May 16, both at 11:00 a.m.  These practices will be held at Frohning Farm just south of Monroe. A whippet-sized two-hole training box will be available for box training.  At the end of each practice, we will set up a course and offer ASFA certification runs. If you have dogs to certify, please make arrangements in advance for a by-dog. Unfortunately we will not have the quad so restringing must be done by hand, but to make this as easy as possible, it will be a short course; the minimum requirement is 500 yards. Fee is $5/car parking fee, which goes to the farmer, and $2/dog, which goes to the club. There is no additional charge for certification runs, so if you've already paid to practice your dog, your cert run is free. If you show up only for certs, you'll be charged the same as for practice.

At this time, it appears we'll be on the back field at Frohning farm, but the farmer may request at the last minute that we use a different field on the farm depending on field conditions, so check back before practice for any updates.

Directions from I-405 Northbound or Southbound: take exit 23 (WA-522 to Woodinville/Wenatchee). Follow WA-522 approximately 14 miles to Monroe, all the way to the end where 522 intersects with US-2. Turn left on US-2. At the 2nd light, turn right on Lewis Street/WA-203. Go approximately 3 miles, and turn right onto 203rd St (just past the 'S' curves). Turn right at the stop sign onto Tualco Road. Take the first left onto Tualco Loop. Go approximately 1/2 mile and turn left on Frohning Rd/190th St SE. Follow road to the end and park at the edge of the field on the left.
