I would like to thank Jan Leikam, Show Chairman, my steward, Rusty Kingery, and all the members of WWWA for the honor of judging this specialty show. Although the day started out with misty rain, it quickly changed to beautiful blue skies and great weather for a dog show. The wine and cheese party after judging was a wonderful way to end the day!
6-9 Puppy Dog The winner of this class, Wasatch Capricious Dream of the Ring, is a strong-boned, deep-bodied youngster with a lovely expression and smooth well-balanced gait. The second place dog, Summit Start Me Up, is also an attractive young dog with great front fill and strong gait, but I preferred the expression on the first place dog. The third place dog, Summit Shine On, a litter-mate to the second place dog, is equally pretty in side gait but is not as clean in the front.
9-12 Puppy Dog The winner of this class, Lost Creek Vendange, is a big moving red and white dog with a lovely expression and deep body with a pretty underline. Although he has a bit more topline than I would normally look for at this age, he was a clear winner in the movement department and clearly earned his eventual Reserve Winners Dog award. The second place dog, Shantellie Tye One On, is a bit

shorter-coupled than the winner. The third place dog, Lost Creek Charnu, a litter-mate to the winner, presents a lovely outline, but lacks the bone of the first two. The fourth place place dog, Brystal's Blackjack Lightning, is not as clean coming and going as the third place dog.
12-18 Puppy Dog The winner of this class, Summit Ironwood Decadence, was my eventual Winners Dog. I loved his length of loin and arch of topline, accompanied by a deep chest and front fill, all contributing to a beautiful package in outline and on the move. The second place dog, Snow Hill Hot Stuff, did not have the length of loin I look for but won out over the third place dog, Daydream & Lovats Red Baron, in front fill and substance.
Bred by Exhibitor Dog The winner of this class, Summit Ironwood Tony Soprano, had lovely long and low front reach, strong underjaw, great front fill and depth of body. The second place dog, Winfield Right Here 'N Now, is a strong dog but lacked the long low front movement of the winner. The third place dog, Taliesin Moonstruck, was not as clean moving in the front as the second place dog.
American Bred Dog The winner of this class, Winfield Sittin' On A Rainbow, has a pleasing expression and dramatic

topline and underline.
Open Dog The winner of this class, Mason Hill Dreamtime, is a deep-bodied, big moving dog. The second place dog, Highbridge Home Ice Advantage, lost out to the winner only on expression - it was very close! The third place dog, Lost Creek Byzantium Galewind, is a strong dog as well, but not as clean coming at you as the second place dog. The fourth place dog, Windsong It Could Be Magic, was also not as clean as the winner and did not hold his topline on the move.
6-9 Puppy Bitch The winner of this class, Wasatch Tangerine Dream, a litter-mate to the winner of the 6-9 Puppy Dog class, is a gorgeous young bitch and was my eventual Winners Bitch and Best Puppy. She is smooth, deep, curvy, lovely to look at and holds together on the move. The second place bitch, Summit Ebony and Ivory, is also a stunning bitch but is shorter on leg than the winner. The third place bitch, Summit Uptown Girl at Corliza, is a pretty puppy but lacks the topline and underline curves of the first two. The fourth place bitch, Aumbreleye Parkers Girl, has good depth of body but I would prefer more bone.
9-12 Puppy Bitch

The winner of this class, Lost Creek Cerasuolo, is a litter-mate to the first and third placers in the 9-12 puppy dog class, and also to the second and fourth placers in this class. This little puppy has a nice easy stride and is very clean coming and going, and has a very pleasing expression. The second place bitch, Lost Creek Amoroso, is very similar to the winner but is not quite as clean in the front. The third place bitch, Windigo N Tivio Perfect at Terrapin, won out over the fourth place bitch, Lost Creek A Taste of Red, in expression.
12-18 Puppy Bitch The winner of this class, Summit Ironwood Just Ducky, presents a lovely expression and beautiful outline, holding it well on the move. The second place bitch, Summit Ironwood Pretty in Prada, does not have quite the long, low front reach as the winner.
Bred by Exhibitor Bitch The winner of this class, Summit Ironwood Crème Brulee, was my eventual Reserve Winners Bitch and Best Bred by Exhibitor, and is a litter-mate to the Winners Dog and to the winner of the 12-18 Puppy Bitch class. She exhibits the same deep body, smooth outline, strong gait and pleasing expression. The second place bitch, Starlaine N Jade 'Tis the Season, is not as clean over the shoulder as the winner. The third place bitch, Camelot's Summit Sweet Dreams, is a petite charmer but lacks the overall length I was looking for. The fourth place bitch, Windigo Tivio Perfect Isn't EZ, has a pretty expression and good front fill but had a higher tail carriage.

American Bred Bitch The winner of this class, Starlaine 'N Jade Better Watch Out, won over the second place bitch, Sporting Field's Embraceable, in having smoother shoulders and a more pleasing expression.
Open Bitch The winner of this class, Jetstar's Private Collection, had some tough competition, but won out over the second place bitch, Snowcap's Fanhill Fawn, with cleaner rear movement. The third place bitch, Byzantium Metaxa at Lost Creek, did not have the front fill and front movement of the second place bitch. The fourth place bitch, Serendipity Skylark, did not hold her topline curve on the move.
Veteran Junior Dog The winner of this class, Ch. Morlais Imagine at Whimsy, is a beautiful strong dog and was my eventual Best Veteran.
Veteran Senior Dog The winner of this class, Ch, Summit Autumn Fleecewood Mac, is a 10-year-old charmer who enjoyed every minute of his afternoon in the sun. The second place dog, Ch. Windstar's Betelgeuse, is nearly 11, and clearly loves to show.
