I have also received a ballot for the Regional Director election. Only one candidate was nominated, and that is Jeffrey Falkner. Jeff and his wife Sarah Smith-Falkner have been actively involved with their Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Basenjis in Region 1 lure coursing (AKC and ASFA) for the last few years, both as exhibitors and as field committee members in various positions.

We may also submit write-in candidates on the ballot, however, a letter of acceptance from the candidate must be on file with the ASFA Corresponding Secretary no later than Tuesday, December 25, 2012. If anybody wishes to nominate a write-in candidate for the position of Region 1 director, please email me at serendipitywhippets@gmail.com ASAP.

Ballots must be submitted by the club delegate (i.e. Yours Truly) and must be postmarked by January 1, 2013. Unless I hear otherwise, I will submit our vote for the nominated candidate.
