We had another quite successful weekend. On Saturday we actually had more other breed entries than we did Whippets, and the Whippet entry was decent. We had 26 Whippets and 29 OB’s. They came out of some woodwork somewhere that I didn’t know existed. We had 7 Scottish Deerhounds, 4 Wolfhounds,  5 Pharoahs, 5 Basenjis and 8 Silkens. Sunday was a little wetter than Saturday and darkness was creeping up on us as we finished, but we still pulled off a decent sized meet with 38 racers. These race people are getting very competitive: since it’s not enough to simply have the meet winning dog, each day the meet winning owners also won their respective days’ potluck prizes! We had a good weekend thanks to all participants and helpers – we have a good group of both, and it really helps these meet weekends to go by pleasantly and smoothly. Feedback is good at these events. People say they have fun, and have returned with their friends.
